Active Shooter Conference in Birmingham a Success!
The FBIBCAAA Chapter co-sponsored with the Birmingham FBI Field Office, one of the most successful Active Shooter Conferences ever. Over 1,100 First Responders, Law Enforcement Officials, Corporate Security personnel, and other private/non-profit organizations attended this three hour training conference at the Boutwell Auditorium in Birmingham on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. SAC Roger C. Stanton welcomed the attendees and thanked our Chapter for co-hosting the event.
During the sessions two videos were shown: RUN, HIDE, FIGHT: Surviving an Active Shooter Crisis Situation produced by the Houston Mayor’s Office of Public Safety and Homeland Security and THE COMING STORM produced by the FBI. Also as part of the conference were multiple panel discussions on what the security community is doing to be prepared from a national, state and local perspective.
Our chapter is very proud to have assisted the Birmingham FBI Field Office in hosting the conference.
